Q: When should I drop my nicotine strength?
A: This is an important vaping question, especially for someone new to vaping. Getting the wrong nicotine strength may be frustrating. The secret lies in finding the right level and then deciding if reducing your nicotine level is a goal that you want to work towards. Some vapers have an end goal of getting to 0mg and others are comfortable staying at 12mg for their foreseeable future. Switching from traditional cigarettes to vaping is a big adjustment so don’t rush into dropping your nicotine too quickly if you aren’t ready for yet another change.
Although there is no secret plan that works for everyone, we do have some advice to guide you along your way! Your best plan may be a gradual process of systematically lowering the nicotine content of your juice. Making sure you are ready to step down can be the difference between staying tobacco free and starting back at square one. Some people can drop fairly quickly, while others may need more time before they are ready for the next step.
Some of our customers have found success by dropping their nicotine strength 3mgs at a time. This allows your body to comfortably adjust to the changes you are making with your habits, as well as provide a nice, smooth transition into a lower strength e-juice. If you are starting at a high nicotine level, you may not always find a certain strength that you want when dropping by 3mg strengths. So you may need to buy a bottle of two different strengths and mix them to your desired strength. Take your time and experiment in small amounts.
