What is TCR?
Some of you may have noticed that most of the newer mods to hit the shelves have added a feature called TCR. You may be thinking, what is this and why do I need it?
To break it down, TCR stands for Temperature Coefficient of Resistance and is a sub category of Temperature Control. Although they are made to basically do the same thing, there is a major difference between the two. When using Temperature Control, the company that manufactures your battery tunes the Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel mode according to the alloy that their own coil heads use. If you plan on using a coil from a company that does not manufacture your battery, the Temp mode will not be accurate. For example, if you purchase an Evic VTC mini kit, and use a Uwell Crown tank on it with a Nickel coil, the temperature will not be as accurate as if you used the Tron tank that comes with the kit.
TCR allows you to manually tune your battery to support any alloy of metal, even if it’s from a different manufacturer. TCR is made for your vaping experience to be as personalized and accurate as possible!
